Thief Steals Bowie Landscaper's Livelihood As Community Steps Up To Help Him Bounce Back
A thief picked the wrong landscaper to mess with in Maryland. Doug Halloran makes his living keeping lawns around the Bowie community in shape through his aptly named Lawbusters Lawn Service, but now he's the one looking for an assist after his mower was stolen. The theft left Halloran without a piece of equipment he depends on for work and prompted a friend to launch a fundraiser to help replace it. Halloran is a familiar face beyond the lawns he maintains. Hartsdale Water Storage Tank Temporarily Taken Out Of Commission
Residents in Greenburgh are being cautioned to monitor their water use as crews begin painting and rehabilitation efforts at the Hartsdale Water Storage Tank. The Greenburgh Consolidated Water District announced on Wednesday that the Hartsdale Water Storage Tank at Birchwood Lane will be temporarily removed from services for painting and rehabilitation. According to officials, interior work to the tank and its structure began on Monday and will continue through the end of May, in advance of the summer.
