No passengers were aboard a New Jersey Transit bus that slammed into an NJ Turnpike toll plaza as snow began falling heavily Thursday morning, authorities said. It was one of nearly 100 crashes and several dozen assist calls that brought State Police troopers on roadways across New Jersey. The driver escaped serious injuries when the #113 bus slammed into the plaza heading west on Route 78 in Newark shortly before 7:30 a.m., NJ Transit's Kate Thompson said. Three Passengers Hurt In NJ Transit Bus Collision
A Philadelphia-bound NJ Transit bus was struck by a car in Camden County on Friday, injuring three of its passengers. At approximately 4 p.m., a bus operating on the 404 Line from the Cherry Hill Mall to Philadelphia-6 th Street with six passengers aboard was struck by a car, according to Kate Thompson, a NJ Transit spokeswoman. Tractor Trailer, Train Collide In Morris County
Service to the Morris and Essex line was suspended Thursday evening due to a crash involving an NJ Transit train and a tractor trailer. There were three crew members and no passengers on board when the train struck a disabled trailer on the tracks at a grade crossing just east of the Mt. Tabor Station around 8:20 p.m., NJ Transit spokeswoman Kate Thompson said.
