On Friday, May 9, Cody Henderson left K-9s Rip, a 4-year-old Belgian Malinois, and Boomer, a 6-year-old Springer Spaniel, unattended for approximately seven hours with the vehicle powered off, despite a known malfunction with the vehicle's air conditioning system, and the K-9 heat alert system had been manually turned off, according to charging documents obtained by Daily Voice.
