While the main X platform loaded, users reported that it was not possible to access posts, with an error message of "Something went wrong" appearing. As of 9:15 a.m., nearly 26,000 users reported issues with X, formerly known as Twitter, on downdetector.com. Under the “Internet Service Outage Consumer Protection Act,” providers would be required to issue prorated bill credits to customers for any service outages lasting more than an hour. The incident took place in Norwalk on Friday, March 24 around 7:15 a.m. Norwalk officers responded to a report of damage to Optimum cable lines on Broad Street.
