A man living in the U.S. illegally who allegedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl in Bucks County has been arrested after nearly a decade on the run, the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office announced on Tuesday, June 4. Elias Ortega, 40, was apprehended by New York City police during a traffic stop in Brooklyn in May 2025, authorities said. Officers ran his name and discovered outstanding warrants in Bucks County for alleged domestic assault and sexual assault of a minor. A Salvadoran man, who was recently found guilty of possession of child sexual abuse material in Everett, has been arrested by Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Boston. The 41-year-old from El Salvador was first arrested in Everett in September 2021 after illegally entering the United States, federal officials said. A class-action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of the workers at an Elizabeth car wash who were allegedly forced to work for significantly less than the minimum age and did not receive overtime pay despite working up to 70 hours a week or more.
