Michaels celebrated the grand opening of its newest location on Long Island Wednesday, Oct. 30.
The company opened its 20,000-square-foot store in Hicksville's Woodbury Shopping Center, located at 410 South Oyster Bay Road, at the former location of TJ Maxx.
A popular destination for crafters and hobbyists alike, Michaels sells a wide range of arts and crafts supplies, as well as framing, floral items and candles, and home and holiday décor.

A one-of-a-kind artisan home decor and gift shop will soon open its doors in Flemington.
The Gift Horse Candle Shop & Home Accents will soon open its doors at 138 Main St., according to Dave Norton, owner of The Corner boutique and photography studio located just down the road at 52 Main St.
The Gift Horse specializes in “country chic farmhouse and primitive style” home decor items like candles, wreaths, signs, scented sprays, and more, its Facebook page says.

An eclectic new business is opening up in downtown Northampton.
Phoenix Rising, on Old South Street, sells mid-century, modern, vintage, antique, and curious home decor, furnishings, collectibles, glassware, art, jewelry, and more, according to the new shop’s Facebook description.
