A smoke shop owner was arrested after police say they uncovered a large display of illegal flavored vape products and THC items during a targeted investigation, authorities announced on Sunday, Jan. 11.
Chaitanya Sanapathi, 46, of Garden City, was taken into custody following an investigation at the Smoke Shop located at 774 Hempstead Turnpike, according to police.

Long Island Trio Nabbed For Armed Robbery Of Man In Parked Vehicle, Police Say
Three Long Island men were arrested for allegedly robbing a man parked in a vehicle in Elmont.
The incident took place around 2:15 a.m., Wednesday, April 29, near the intersection of Kirkman Avenue and Blossom Street, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, a 25-year-old man was in his vehicle near the intersection when a silver 2002 Jaguar with three men inside approached the vehicle.
Two of the men identified as Deshawn Foy, 30, of St. Albans, and Inmouni Gooden, 25, of Elmont, exited the Jaguar and opened the doors of the victim’s vehicle, police said.

Two LI Men Nabbed Attempting To Steal Office Equipment, Hit Manager, Attack Officer, Police Say
Two Long Island men were nabbed for allegedly attempting to leave a store with unpaid goods including a printer and an office chair and for attacking a store employee and a police officer.
Justin Davis, 21, and Barrington Gray, 33, both of Amityville, were arrested around 10:35 a.m., Tuesday, April 14, following the thefts, and an attack at the Staples store in Levittown, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, the two men attempted to leave the store with unpaid-for merchandise which included a printer and an office chair.
