A Baltimore Public School teacher is asking for support during her recovery from a heart condition that developed after contracting COVID-19 through school, according to a fundraiser on her behalf. Estee Jackson, a sixth grade teacher, says she contracted COVID-19 upon coming into contact with asymptomatic students. Erik Volper died on Thursday, April 21, after he collapsed while running on the treadmill from an unknown heart issue, according to his obituary. Volper was a former resident of Larchmont.
