Minor Responsible For Majority Of Bomb Threats Targeting HBCUs, FBI Says
The FBI announced that one minor is “believed to be responsible for the “majority of the threats" that have been targeting Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the country and throughout the region. According to a press release issued by the FBI, since January, more than 50 HBCUs, houses of worship, and other faith-based and academic institutions across the country have received racially motivated threats of violence. Hampton University Prays For 2 Students After Serious Plane Crash: Reports
Hampton University cancelled classes on Friday, Oct. 7, in light of "two unfortunate incidents", WAVY.com reported The school did not specify the two incidents, but two students were seriously injured in a Newport News plane crash on Oct. 6. The students' flight instructor did not survive, the website said. Hampton University hosted a prayer service Friday morning for all students and faculty members, WAVY.com said. Teaneck High School Basketball Coach 'Made Out' With Underage Girls, Authorities Charge
A first-year Teaneck High School boys basketball coach repeatedly had improper physical contact with two underage girls, said authorities who arrested him. Marcelle Williams, 37, “engaged in [the] acts with two juveniles between the ages of 16 and 18 years on numerous occasions in Teaneck since November,” Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo said Tuesday.
