Hundreds Of Fire, Overheating Reports Spark Portable Charger Recall: What To Know
Portable chargers sold on Amazon are being recalled after hundreds of reports of fires and overheating, including several burn injuries. The recall affects about 11,000 HAIARA W5 PRO power banks sold by Mitrytech, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday, Oct. 29. The devices have lithium batteries that can explode and catch fire, posing serious fire and burn hazards. The black chargers have "20W" printed on the front and "Model: W5 PRO" printed on the side.
