New Tropical Storm Forms In Atlantic: Here's Where Fernand's Headed
Say hello to Fernand. The Atlantic’s newest tropical storm organized south-southeast of Bermuda and is expected to steer over open water, a far different look than the explosive growth and long track seen with Hurricane Erin. The National Hurricane Center issued its first advisory late Saturday afternoon, Aug. 23, noting Fernand developed from a tropical rainstorm that had been moving north of the Leeward Islands. Missing Montclair Couple's Jet Ski Found: Report
A jet ski that was rented by a Montclair couple who went missing while vacationing in Barbados was found by the French navy about 250 miles away, the Nation News web site reported Saturday. Oscar Suarez, 32, and 25-year-old Magdalena Devil rented the jet ski June 24 at Holetown Beach. An intensive search involving military personnel from Barbados and the United States ensued when the two failed to return after about a half-hour.
