Groping Suspect Sought In Stamford
Police in Fairfield County are seeking assistance in the attempt to identify a suspect in two recent groping incidents. The incidents took place in Stamford on Sunday, April 10 on the east side. Police responded to two separate calls in which victims were groped by a Hispanic man in his 20s to 30s, said Lt. Tom Scanlon of the Stamford Police. A former aide to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has been the first to file a criminal complaint with law enforcement after she was allegedly sexually harassed and groped in his office. The victim, identified in the Attorney General’s report as “Executive Assistant #1,” filed the complaint with the Albany County Sheriff's Department this week, making her the first of Cuomo’s alleged victims to seek criminal charges. Police are asking the public for help identifying a man wanted in connection with a groping and burglary incident that left a Queens woman in fear. The incident took place around 2:50 a.m., Saturday, July 27, when a 26-year-old woman was approached by a man requesting medical assistance in the area of 24th Street and 23rd Avenue, said the New York City Police.
