Emergency crews rushed to a chaotic scene at West Hyattsville Metro Station after a pedestrian was struck by a train, causing major delays on the system, according to Prince George’s County Fire/EMS. The incident happened around 3:51 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, at the station near Hamilton Street, officials said. Nearly 115 Red Line passengers were relocated after a person was fatally struck by a train Tuesday, June 20 in Washington DC. The crash happened between Fort Totten and NoMa-Gallaudet stations just before 5 p.m. Passengers were escorted by responders to the Rhode Island Avenue platform.
