A semi-truck brought down power lines in Toms River Wednesday morning, July 22. At 10:58 a.m., a white semi-truck hauling a lowboy trailer loaded with a forklift was traveling north on Whitesville Road when it struck and knocked down the power lines near Route 70, the Ocean County Sheriff's Office said. A man was injured after being struck by a forklift at a business in Oakland late Tuesday morning, Feb. 17, authorities said. Oakland police officers were dispatched to 40 Edison Ave., for a report of a man struck by a forklift at approximately 11:10 a.m., according to Acting Oakland Police Capt. Stephen Broek.
