Lyndhurst College Student Struggles To Make Ends Meet After Dad’s Death LYNDHURST, N.J. – A Lyndhurst college student is struggling to afford housing, food and a funeral service for her father after his sudden death. Dennis McDonnell died on January 9, his daughter Betty Marie McDonnell wrote on a GoFundMe page she created to raise funds for his funeral. “My mother is not in the picture and I have been living alone with my father since as long as I can remember,” Betty wrote, adding that her father was on disability and she took care of him. “He was not only my father, but my best friend,” she wrote.
