Bridgeport Convicted Felon Admits To Illegal Gun Possession
A convicted felon from Fairfield County has admitted to illegally possessing a 9mm handgun that he attempted to discard during a police chase. Bridgeport resident Timothy Staton, 23, has pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon dating back to an incident with police late last year. Staton - who has previous felony convictions for robbery, narcotics, firearm and racketeering offenses - admitted to fleeing from police on Sept. 13 last year, during which he removed a Glock 43 9mm handgun and threw it to the ground.
