Have you seen him? New York State Police investigators in Newburgh are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to locate a wanted man who attempted to dupe troopers with a false name. An alert was issued on Wednesday regarding Ibrahima Barry, who is wanted on a bench warrant for false personation dating back to an incident in 2014. Police said that Barry was traveling on the New York State Thruway on April 29 that year, when he was stopped by State Police troopers. Westchester Pair Caught With Stolen .45-Caliber Handgun Upstate
A late-night altercation between several men upstate led to the arrest of two from Westchester who were in possession of a handgun that had been reported stolen, police said. Members of the City of Kingston Police Department received a call late on Sept. 20, where there was a report of a fight between several people on South Manor Avenue in Kingston. Officers from the Uniformed Patrol Division responded to break up the altercation and launched an investigation. A late-night traffic stop on I-87 in Orange County over the weekend led to the arrest of four alleged drug dealers who were allegedly in possession of methamphetamine, MDMA, heroin and other drugs they allegedly planned to distribute. A 34-year-old woman driving with a blood alcohol content more than double the legal limit attempted to deceive state police troopers during a traffic stop in Putnam County, using several names before being arrested on DWI and drug charges, a New York State Police spokesperson said.
