Construction Worker Killed In Fall, Failed To Secure Safety Harness: Lakewood Police A 51-year-old construction worker from The Bronx was killed after falling three floors in Lakewood on the morning of Friday, Feb. 21, authorities said. Jorge Paltan-Ajila was working at a construction site at 1600 Avenue of the States, Lakewood police said. Paltan-Ajila while working on the third floor of the construction site, slipped and fell while handing tools to a fellow employee on a boom lift, police said.
