Winter Storm Alert: Maryland, Virginia Brace For Snow, Arctic Freeze Maryland and Virginia residents are preparing for a possibly significant winter storm that is expected to deliver heavy snowfall and dangerously low temperatures starting Sunday afternoon according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
