: Cohasset Real Estate Manager Last Seen On New Year's Day
A woman has been missing since the ball dropped on New Year's Day, according to officials. Police are attempting to locate the woman, 39-year-old Ana Walshe, and are asking the public for assistance, the Cohasset Police Department announced. Walshe was last seen at her family's Cohasset home shortly after midnight. Police expanded the hunt on Friday, Jan. 6, searching the area of Chief Justice Cushing Highway, according to Massachusetts State Police. Two local colleges are coming together to help to healthcare professionals in eastern Europe. The University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) and John Hopkins Medicine (JHM) are partnering to send medical supplies, worth more than $4 million, to Ukraine in the aftermath of the Russian invasion. Perseid Meteor Shower To Reach Peak Soon
Look up! The 2021 Perseid meteor shower is set to reach its peak later in August. Space.com reported that while the meteor shower was set to last from Sunday, July 25 through Wednesday, Aug. 18, it will reach its peak on the night of Thursday, Aug. 12. The site said people in Eastern Europe are in the best position to see the meteor shower, but North Americans should also have a good view of it. Westchester Man Dies After Fall While Hiking
A 43-year-old man from Westchester died after losing his footing while hiking on a mountain in the state of Washington. James Rothwell, who grew up in Mount Pleasant and graduated from Westlake High School in 1992, was with two other hikers on Buck Mountain in Chelan County, when he fell about 50 feet on Saturday, Aug. 4, according to the Seattle Times.
