Franklin Lakes firefighters doused a dump truck blaze on Route 208. The driver of the mason dump truck got out in time before the engine and cab became fully engulfed in flames on the northbound highway near Colonial Road shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26. Metro-North commuters on the Hudson Line are experiencing slight delays due to a dump truck fire on the tracks in Westchester. The incident took place in Tarrytown at about 1:50 a.m., Wednesday, April 12 when a track equipment train caught on fire south of the Tarrytown station, said MTA officials. Emergency crews efficiently battled a dump truck that went up in flames at a Sussex County intersection. The blaze was reported at the intersection of Prides Crossing and Deire Drive in Sparta shortly after 10:45 a.m. on Monday, August 1, the Sparta Township Fire Department said. Upon arrival, crews found the cab of a mason dump flaming and smoking heavily. The driver had safely exited the vehicle prior to crews’ arrival.
