Englewood Cliffs Police Capt. Keith Wicker Dies After 25 Years Of Service
Keith Wicker, an Englewood Cliffs police captain with more than 25 years on the force, died on Friday morning, Feb. 20, after a years-long brain cancer battle. He was 51 years old.
Wicker is survived by his wife, Amy, and their children, Charlie and Paige. A GoFundMe for Wicker’s family had raised $176,810 as of press time.
In the week leading up to his death, the ECPD was working to ensure that Wicker’s family would continue to have healthcare coverage. In a statement issued on behalf of the ECPD's bargaining unit, Officer Doug Rommes said:

A Connecticut man was arrested for allegedly killing another man during a fight.
New Haven County resident John T. Morgan, age 56, of Waterbury, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 1, after police responded to a complaint of a physical dispute in Waterbury.
According to Lieutenant Ryan Bessette, of the Waterbury Police Department, when officers responded to 1078 Chase Parkway Morgan was standing outside and was detained.

Police ID CT Man Found Shot To Death On Street
Police have identified a Connecticut man who was found shot in the head on a city street following an argument between a group of people.
Davante Echols, age 24, was just before 8 p.m., Saturday, July 10 in the area of 19 Bronson St., in Waterbury, in New Haven County, said Sgt. Robert Davis.
Echols, of Waterbury, sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to an area hospital for treatment, but died a short time later.

A Long Island couple ran an ID theft operation from a leased apartment in Lyndhurst where they'd just moved in with their 14-month-old daughter, authorities said following a raid there.
Diamond Holder, 24, and Mohamed Konate, 26, both most recently of Amityville, NY, were found with bogus credit cards, fake driver's licenses and a stolen gun when they were busted, Detective Lt. Vincent Auteri said.
