Intruder Was 'Incoherent' When He Entered Occupied Bayonne Home: Police
A 33-year-old Hoboken resident walked into a Bayonne home Saturday and was scared off by a woman who lives there, police said. Erick Acosta entered the home near 51st Street and Avenue E through an unlocked front door shortly before 8 a.m. The resident, a 55-year-old woman, was cleaning when Acosta entered. He left when she ordered him out and she called the police. Acosta was stopped by responding police officers near the home. A 30-year-old passenger removed by police in a fight on an NJ Transit bus was arrested in connection with a pick-up truck theft from a Fair Lawn parking lot the week before, thanks to surveillance footage that captured the theft, authorities said.
