A teenager has been arrested in connection with a shooting at the Eagles NFC Championship celebration in Center City, Philadelphia police announced on Wednesday, Jan. 29.
Amere Wright, 18, was identified as the suspected gunman who shot a 20-year-old man in the lower abdomen and hip at 1300 Chestnut Street around 9:25 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26, authorities said.
The victim, who approached officers assigned to the Eagles Crowd Detail, was rushed to Jefferson Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.

Ariana Bird, a Philadelphia-based artist, dancer, and performer, died from injuries sustained in a car accident in Center City on Sunday, April 2, their loved ones say. They were 31.

Three of the teens suspected of killing 14-year-old Nicolas Elizadle outside of Roxborough High School in Philadelphia on Sept. 27 have been charged in connection with another murder, CBS News reports.
Philly police said Troy Fletcher, 15, and Zyhied Jones, 17, and Dayron Burney-Thorne, 16, are all suspects in the murder of 19-year-old Tahmir Jones, who was fatally shot in Center City on Sept. 26, the outlet wrote.
