A Wildwood Crest man was arrested after police said he attacked another man and tried to steal his bag during a violent confrontation Thursday morning, May 21. Wildwood Crest police responded to the area of Morning Glory Road and Park Boulevard around 11 a.m. on May 21 for a report of two men fighting, the department said. Two Middle Township residents were arrested and charged with animal cruelty, authorities announced Tuesday Oct. 28. Sandra Klochak, 61 and Yvonne Klochak, 79, were arrested after the Middle Township Police Department Major Crimes Unit executed a search warrant a residence on Savannah Street in the township as part of an animal cruelty investigation, police said. Two people suffered from smoke inhalation in Cape May County. At about noon Wednesday, North Wildwood firefighters responded to a structure fire at 217 E. 24th Ave. in North Wildwood, according to Fire Chief Dominick J. McClain.
