Driver Living In Van Had Tactical Rifle, Shotgun, Pistol In Route 17 Stop: Rochelle Park PD
A Florida man living in his van was stopped on Route 17 with a high-powered handgun, a semi-automatic tactical rifle and a 12-gauge shotgun, Rochelle Park police said.
Jewann Smith, 39, of Fort Lauderdale, also had a high-capacity magazine and flash suppressor in the Ford van, which was stopped by Officer Chris Kiszka on the southbound highway mid-Saturday afternoon, June 24, Capt. James M. DePreta said.

A Western Mass ex-convict with a machine gun was sentenced to 5 years in prison on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Hector Gomez, 33, of Chicopee, was sentenced by U.S. District Court, Springfield, Judge Mark Mastroianni to 5 years in prison followed by three years of supervised release, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts.
