Investigators have determined that a Danvers Police Officer who accidentally discharged their firearm was the reason behind an active shooter threat at a high school on the North Shore. Students were evacuated following a report of an active shooter at a private high school on the North Shore this week, according to authorities. State and local police responded to a report of a person with a gun at St. John's Preparatory High School in Danvers shortly before 2 p.m. on Monday, May 22, Massachusetts State Police said.
