Mega Millions Tickets Totaling $30k Sold In Belleville
It was a great day to be a Mega Millions player in Belleville last week. Two Mega Millions sold in Belleville matched four numbers and the gold Megaball in the drawing held on Friday, Jan. 31, winning $10,000. One of the tickets was bought with a multiplier, and won $20,000. The tickets were sold at Kelly Liquor's and Krauszer's Food Store. The winning numbers were 9, 28, 48, 56, 63 and the gold Megaball was 2.

Body Of Belleville Man Recovered From Waterfall In Nutley
The body of a 57-year-old Belleville man was recovered from under a waterfall in Nutley, according to police. A witness called police to report the body under Third River along Kingsland Street on Friday, Dec. 2, Nutley Police Director Alphonse Petracco and Chief Thomas Strumolo said. The man's body was identified after a recovery effort. His body was taken to the Essex County Medical Examiner's Office. CPR was apparently being performed on the driver of a passenger car as of 8:50 a.m., unconfirmed reports say. Beloved Phillipsburg Teacher Dies After 2nd Cancer Battle
The Phillipsburg community is mourning the death of a first-grade teacher and mother of three Susan Fairchild on Aug. 23 after two cancer battles. Fairchild, 49, had worked as a first-grade teacher in the Phillipsburg Primary School district for 22 years, Superintendent Gregory Troxwell said in a statement. A native of Belleville, Fairchild was raised in Forks Township, PA, and lived in Easton at the time of her death, her obituary says.
