Flu Complications Claim Life of 18-Month-Old Mahopac Boy, Prompting Wave Of Support
A Putnam County family is receiving an outpouring of support after the sudden death of their 18-month-old son, who died from flu complications, according to relatives. Angelo Nicholas Valentino, an 18-month-old Mahopac boy, died earlier this month, according to his aunt, Allison Pugliese. Pugliese wrote that his death “has left our family heartbroken” and described him as “the most beautiful baby—always smiling, always happy.” She said his four-year-old brother “misses him terribly,” and his parents are devastated while also preparing for the arrival of a new baby. …

Ani Ramen House Opens In Maplewood
Ani Ramen House opened this weekend in Maplewood, the fifth location in New Jersey for the eatery that features unique ramen noodle dishes and other specialties, the chain said in a statement. The 75-seat, BYOB restaurant, at 149 Maplewood Ave., opened this past weekend and is now serving lunch (11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and dinner (5 to 10 p.m.) from Sunday to Thursday (it will be open until 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays).
