Rare Bourbons, Whiskeys Up For Grabs In PA Lottery — Some Bottles Worth Over $7K
Pennsylvania residents and licensees have until Friday, Aug. 8 at 5 p.m. to register for a limited-release lottery featuring 3,705 bottles of rare and highly sought-after bourbons and whiskeys, the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board announced.
Through Fine Wine & Good Spirits, the PLCB is running nine separate lotteries covering 10 products — including bottles priced from $59.99 to $7,499.99. Participants can enter one, several, or all lotteries, but each household is limited to one entry per lottery, and duplicate entries will be disqualified.

Two bartenders were arrested at a Huntington restaurant for allegedly serving alcohol to underage police agents, Suffolk County Police announced on Saturday, Aug. 2.
The arrests happened during a State Liquor Authority inspection at Finley’s of Greene Street, located at 43 Green Street, around 11 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1.

An underage drinking sting in Putnam County led to the arrests of two gas station clerks for illegally selling alcohol to a minor, police announced.
The initiative took place on Tuesday, March 18, and involved compliance checks at 16 retail locations across the county, New York State Police said on Wednesday, March 19.
During the operation, an underage operative went to buy alcohol at multiple businesses. At two locations, the sale was allegedly not denied, resulting in the following arrests:

Two Long Island businesses were cited for allegedly selling alcohol to minors.
Compliance checks were conducted at 19 retail vendors throughout the Town of Riverhead on Tuesday, Aug. 20.
The operation targeted the sale of alcohol products to patrons under the age of 21.

After several years of responding to assaults, shootings, stabbings, and a murder at a Connecticut address, police raided the residence and made several arrests.
The incident occurred in New Haven County on Saturday, July 13, at 190 Grove St., in Meriden.
