47-Year-Old Stamford 911 Dispatcher Killed In I-95 Crash In Greenwich
Connecticut State Police are searching for witnesses after a fatal two-vehicle crash on I-95 in Greenwich. Colin D. Kennedy, age 47, of Stamford, was killed around 1:45 a.m., Friday, June 30 on I-95 after drifting out of his lane and eventually hitting another car head-on, said the Connecticut State Police. According to Stamford Police Assistant Chief Richard Conklin, Kennedy was a 911 dispatcher who has worked with the city since October 2005. "He was well respected by his co-workers," Conklin said. A South Hackensack pedestrian was hospitalized -- and got a summons -- after he was struck crossing a Hackensack street, authorities said. The 34-year-old pedestrian "was crossing Kansas Street mid-block when he was struck by a 2017 Ford Mustang operated by a 19 year old Hackensack resident" shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday, Police Capt. Long Island Man Accused Of Driving Car At Police Officer During High-Speed Chase
A Long Island man attempting to evade police on the LIE is facing charges for allegedly speeding toward an officer attempting to stop him during a high-speed chase, officials said. Central Islip resident Kevin Rodriguez, age 24, was driving a 2017 Ford Mustang westbound in the HOV lane on the Long Island Expressway in Dix Hills shortly before 8 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11 when an officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop.
