GREENWICH, Conn. — Greatest Blaze & Co., the Greenwich-based premium firewood company, and Harrison, N.Y.-based seafood market and butcher, The Market at Gus’s, are joining forces.
As part of the arrangement, Greatest Blaze & Co. will provide cooking woods, lump charcoal, Blazin’ Torches and other hard goods for sale at the market. The Market at Gus’s will provide seafood, beef and catering services for Greatest Blaze & Co. burgeoning events business.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Gregory R. Howard, of Poughkeepsie, died Wednesday, Nov. 30. He was 79.
Born March 23, 1937, in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of the late Edward and Gladys Griffing Howard.
He worked as a technician at IBM in Fishkill until his retirement in 2012. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends from school, especially when visiting Canada. Family was very important to him, and he spent his life supporting the love of his life, his wife, Patricia, and their family.

He was born at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, and also raised in Ridgewood, graduating from Ridgewood, High School in 2011. He graduated from the University of Maryland in 2015.

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Millicent H. Kessler, of Ridgewood, died Nov. 30. She was 75.
She was the younger of two daughters born and raised in Scarsdale, N/Y. She raised her family in Ridgewood before retiring to Scottsdale, Ariz.
As a young mother, she was involved as a classroom mom at Travell School and enjoyed her children’s Girl and Boy Scouts' activities, softball and baseball games.
