A Texas restaurant company is set to buy On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina after the Tex-Mex chain filed for bankruptcy, closing more than 70 locations – including more than a dozen in the Northeast. A popular hotel and water park in Burlington County — shuttered for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic — is set to reopen under new ownership, according to media reports. The 14-acre hotel and indoor water park in Mt. Laurel plans a staggered reopening, 42Freeway reported. Pedestrian Struck, Killed By South Jersey Driver Identified
A 54-year-old man struck and killed by a driver has been identified. Frank Molter Jr., of Somers Point, was hit along Route 52 in front of the Economy Motel on Saturday night, July 23. He was struck in the westbound lane by a vehicle operated by a 59-year-old Mt. Laurel woman. He worked at Bally's Atlantic City, according to his Facebook page. Molter was born and raised in Ocean City, where he graduated high school in 1986, according to his obituary. A woman from Caldwell is among a group of people indicted in a crackdown on fraud and abuse of the elderly and disabled living in care facilities, the state Office of the Insurance Fraud Prosecutor announced Monday. Karissa-Anne Frannicola, 29 was charged with theft by failure to make disposition of property received and misapplication of entrusted property for thefts that allegedly occurred between April and August of 2017.
