An intoxicated driver operating a vehicle on a suspended license was arrested over the weekend after a witness reported an attempted vehicle break-in at a commuter lot, Connecticut State Police said. One person was killed and another injured during an overnight shooting in Chester, authorities said. Officers arrived at the 300 block of West 22nd Street around 12:45 a.m. Friday for a report of a shooting victim, according to the City of Chester Police Department. Chester Police Seek Public's Help In Deadly Hit-Run Crash
Police are seeking the public's help identifying a vehicle in a deadly hit-and-run crash that occurred Tuesday in Delaware County. Officers responding to the 2200 block of Wetherill Street at 8:22 p.m. discovered an "older, thin man" lying face down in the roadway, according to Chester City police captain James Chubb. A Delaware County mother and her boyfriend were arrested on homicide charges after the woman's one-year-old child was found dead in her Chester City home, authorities said. Kandie A. Meinhart and Maurice E. Davis were apprehended on June 29 in connection with the Jan. 20 death of her one-year-old child, according to the City of Chester Police Department.
