Woman Rescued From Conestoga River By Lancaster Officer
A Lancaster City police officer jumped into the Conestoga River to save a woman who was flailing in the water, police announced on Friday, Aug. 29. The incident happened south of the Holly Pointe Nature Preserve around 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, according to police. The woman was struggling in the river when Officer Detwiler entered the water and successfully pulled her to shore, investigators said. Cause Of Death Revealed For Ephrata Man 'Trapped' By Conestoga River: Coroner
A second Ephrata man has ended up dead in an area waterway in under a week. Allen "Ray" Nolt, was driving along Cabin Drive in West Earl Township when his vehicle became "trapped in the high waters" of the Conestoga River on Monday morning, Chief Deputy Coroner Eric Bieber explained. Car Pulled From River In Central PA: Authorities
A car was pulled from a river in Central Pennsylvania on Friday, June 2, 2023, authorities say. Manheim Township Fire Rescue worked to pull the submerged sedan from the Conestoga River in Lancaster County. It was pulled from the river near Pleasure Road and East Walnut Street. No one was in the vehicle, authorities told Daily Voice. Crews were first alerted to the vehicle in the river around 6 a.m., but the circumstances that lead to it getting there have not been released.

Body Found In Conestoga River In Lancaster Has 'Been There For A While'
A body was found in the Conestoga River in Lancaster on Monday morning. The body was floating in the water near the 1300 block of South Duke Street, near the parking area of the Conestoga Greenway walking trail, say Lancaster city police.
