Legionnaires' Outbreak Probe Continues In Lancaster: County Officials
A bacteria that can cause the deadly lung disease – commonly known as Legionnaires' – has been found six more times since officials learned of an infected inmate in Pennsylvania. Lancaster County Prison was notified that a former inmate tested positive at a State County Institution for Legionnaires' Disease also known as Legionella Pneumonia on Friday, Aug. 11. County In Pennsylvania Bans TikTok: Authorities
One Pennsylvania county is banning TikTok, at least on official county devices, authorities announced on Monday, Feb. 27, 2023. TikTok "and other malicious cyber based systems," have been banned in Lancaster County because "harvesting software, poses a significant risk to the cyber security of the County," Lancaster County Commissioners Office Communications Director Michael Fitzpatrick states in the release. Work Starts On Major New Long Island Roadwork Project A Year Ahead Of Schedule
A $71 million construction project has been launched a year ahead of schedule on Long Island as officials seek to improve safety and access to bicyclists, pedestrians, and bus users. The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) announced the start of a $71.4 million project to reconstruct and modernize a stretch of State Route 347 in Suffolk County.
