A man and a woman are dead and three others hospitalized after a serious car crash in Philadelphia on Friday morning, Oct. 27, officials said. It happened around 11 a.m. on East Lehigh Avenue near the corner with Jasper Street, city police told Daily Voice. A grey Dodge Caravan was headed south on East Lehigh it struck a grey Acura, authorities said. A Philadelphia driver was critically injured after crashing in Frankford on Friday morning, according to police. Authorities said the driver was heading east on Torresdale Avenue near the corner with Kensington Avenue when they lost control and the car began to spin. A Philadelphia police officer has a broken ankle after being hit by a car while breaking up a street racing event early Sunday morning, the department told Daily Voice. It happened on the 1300 block of North Broad Street around 1:45 a.m. on July 23, authorities said.
