According to the National Weather Service, the heaviest rain from the first round of storms should wrap up by around midday Saturday, April 29 after dumping about an inch of precipitation to most of the region. These Areas Will See Heaviest, Steadiest Rainfall, Strongest Winds From Coastal Storm System A coastal storm system will bring a mix of showers, rain, drenching downpours, and gusty winds to much of the region. Rainfall will begin Sunday afternoon, Oct. 23, and continue at times through the evening and into the overnight hours, according to the National Weather Service. Major Storm Will Bring Heavy Rain, Strong Winds That Could Cause Power Outages A post-Thanksgiving storm will hit the region with heavy rain and strong wind gusts that could cause power outages. The time frame for the storm is Monday, Nov. 30 into Tuesday, Dec. 1. The days leading up to the arrival of the system will be dry with temperatures continuing to be above normal through the weekend with daily highs ranging from the low to upper 50s.
