Man Found Dead In Car On Shoulder Of Long Island Expressway In Hauppauge An investigation is underway after a man was found dead in broad daylight on the Long Island Expressway. Suffolk County Police Highway Patrol officers responded to a parked vehicle in Hauppauge on the eastbound shoulder near Route 111 on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at about 1:15 p.m.  Officers discovered a body in the front seat of a 2019 Jeep.  Following an investigation by Fourth Squad detectives, the body was identified as Luis Gonzalez, age 62.
