Footage going viral on social media shows a helicopter spinning down into a wooded area near Basin Road near White Horse Pike at approximately 11:25 a.m. Both of the helicopters crash-landed, and one erupted in flames, Hammonton police said.

The crash involved an Enstrom F-28A helicopter and an Enstrom 280C helicopter, according to an FAA spokesperson. Only the pilots were on board each aircraft, the FAA said. The collision occurred approximately two miles from the Hammonton Municipal Airport.

The 1978 Enstrom 280C helicopter with the tail number 280MG is owned by M&M Charter, LLC, of Mountville, Lancaster County, according to the FAA registry.

The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate. The NTSB will be in charge of the investigation and will provide further updates.
