22-Year-Old Struck, Killed By Train In Hicksville A local resident was struck and killed by a Long Island Railroad train over the weekend. Suffolk County resident Tyshawn R. Hunter, age 22, of Port Jefferson Station, was struck around 11 p.m., Friday, March 24 in Nassau County near the Hicksville Station, according to the MTA. The incident occurred west of the Hicksville station in an area unauthorized for pedestrians, MTA officials said. Service was initially suspended between Mineola and Hicksville Stations. Man Killed By Train In Monmouth County A man was struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit train in Monmouth County Saturday, March 11. The man was struck by North Jersey Coast Line train 4756 around 5:45 p.m. on Corlies Avenue near the Bradley Beach station, a New Jersey Transit spokesperson said. The train departed Bay Head at 5:19 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Long Branch at 5:58 p.m. There were no injuries reported to the five customers or crew on board. The next three North Jersey Coast Line trains were cancelled due to this incident, service has resumed.

Man Struck By Metro-North Train In Westchester A man on the tracks was struck by a Metro-North train on Saturday. The incident occurred in the vicinity of the White Plains station just before 7:30 a.m. Jan. 19, according to Metro-North. Body Discovered Near Metro-North Tracks Metro-North officials suspended service on the Wassaic Line after a body was discovered near the tracks in Putnam County, according to MTA officials. The body was found around 9:15 a.m. Thursday near the Dykeman Road railroad crossing in Brewster, said Aaron Donovan, deputy communications director for the MTA.
