Tornado Touches Down In MD During Weekend Storms, NWS Confirms
The National Weather Service has confirmed that the wicked weather over the weekend produced a small tornado that was reported in central Maryland. An “EF-0” tornado with winds peaking around 75 mph touched down in Montgomery County near Poolesville shortly before 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 22 after forming as a result of the thunderstorms that rolled through the region. The first snow of fall 2022 has fallen in Pennsylvania. People in Grove City, Slippery Rock, and Portersville woke up to snow, although the latter only had it on the grass.
