A driver had to be rescued late Tuesday night, July 1, after a rollover crash sent their vehicle down an embankment in Putnam County. The crash happened in Brewster on Route 312 near Minor Road, according to the Brewster Fire Department, which responded to the scene after receiving reports that the driver was trapped. Fire crews arrived to find the vehicle in a precarious position down an embankment, with the driver pinned inside. Emergency personnel stabilized the vehicle before getting the driver out. Car Hits Tree, Catches Fire In Brewster: Driver Hospitalized
A vehicle crashed into a tree and burst into flames in Putnam County, leaving the driver hospitalized, firefighters said. The crash happened outside the Brewster Elks Club at Route 22 and Milltown Road around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 9, according to the Brewster Fire Department. According to fire officials, the vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, and caught fire outside the Elks Club on Route 22. Firefighters quickly attacked the flames while Brewster EMS treated the driver, who was then taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Man Charged With DWI After Route 6 Two-Car Crash
A Carmel man has been charged with DWI following his involvement in a two-car crash, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department. Officers with the PCSD were dispatched via Putnam 911 to a report of a two-car personal injury crash on Route 6 in the area of Bridge Lane in the town of Southeast on Thursday, Oct. 31 around 4:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers allegedly observed Julian Chulo, the driver of one of the vehicles, sitting on the shoulder of the road.
