Serious Crash Causes I-84 Closure A busy stretch of I-84 is closed during the height of the morning commute after a serious crash in Connecticut. The closure is in both directions after the crash involving a rolled-over tractor-trailer happened on the eastbound side just before 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 30 in Northern Fairfield County near Exit 13. Connecticut State Police said the crash led to a large fuel spill.  Eastbound traffic is being detoured to local streets at Exit 11. Motorists are being advised to use alternate routes if possible. PIP Crash With Serious Injuries Causes Hours-Long Delays This story has been updated. There were hour-long delays after a serious crash with injuries on the Palisades Interstate Parkway that blocked the left lane on Friday. The northbound incident occurred between Exit 12 (Route 45) and Exit 13 (ROute 202). There was stopped traffic at the scene of the crash and gridlock stretching back to Exit 10 (Middletown Road) at 5:45 p.m. The lane reopened around 7:30 p.m. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.
