Smith announced on Saturday, Sept. 13. The victims were 52-year-old Jeffrey Patmore of Terrace, British Columbia, and 40-year-old Michael S. Higgins of Haddon Township, New Jersey, Smith said. Lower Saucon Township police reported that Lower Saucon Road was closed between Woodland Road and Woodland Hills Court due to a tree down on power wires. Upper Saucon Township police reported that Oakhurst Drive was closed between Stonesthrow Road and Old Bethlehem Pike due to utility lines across the roadway. The incidents were reported late morning on Friday, Aug. 9. Meanwhile, due to the severe weather, the Doylestown Township Administrative Offices closed at 2:30 p.m.

The lines fell in the area of Broadway and Livingston Street outside the Chase Bank shortly before noon.
