A Wayne resident armed with two swords is in stable condition after being shot by police on Friday night, Feb. 14, authorities said. The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Shooting Response Team responded to a home on White Birch Court around 9:55 p.m., Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said. Details have been released in connection with a police incident that caused Pennridge High School to be locked down on Tuesday, June 7. Officers were called around 11 a.m. to the 600 block of Campus Drive in East Rockhill Township on a report of a domestic incident involving a mom and son, Pennridge Regional police said. TJ Pope Of Manville Dies, 32
Thomas Justin "TJ" Pope of Manville died on Wednesday, May 26. He was 32 years old. Born in Plainfield, TJ was a lifelong resident of Manville. His obituary remembers him for his passions: Video games, anime, gardening, playing Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and "almost anything associated with dragons and swords." Police: Shirtless Swordsman Wrapped In American Flag Captured After Pursuit Through Bergen Park
An emotionally troubled Woodcliff Lake man armed with swords was captured after a chase through a local park, authorities said. The 28-year-old suspect was shirtless, wearing camouflage pants with an American flag tied around his waist in Wood Dale County Park, callers told police.
