'Project Runway' Fashion Designer From Hillside Penned Heartbreaking Final Facebook Post Sha’Vi Lewis, a New Jersey native and contestant on Season 18 of "Project Runway," has died, his family confirmed. Lewis, a fashion designer known for his bold, creative designs, passed away on Monday, Feb. 26, according to a Facebook post by his aunt. He was 34 years old. A cause of death has not yet been revealed. Born Franklin Shavi Lewis Frierson Jr., Lewis was raised in Hillside, where he developed a passion for fashion.
