According to the NJDOT website, construction was ongoing in the eastbound lanes near Teaneck Road as of 4 p.m., with one right lane closed. Drivers faced delays of approximately 10 minutes, officials reported. Route 4 is known for heavy traffic during rush hour, particularly near the Queen Anne Road exit, where lanes merge, and at the Route 17 junction in Paramus. Missing Manhole Cover Causes Delays On Route 1 Central Jersey
Emergency construction and a missing manhole cover were causing delays on Route 1 in Middlesex County, authorities said. The problems were originally reported at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday,, March 16, by the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Route 10 will be closed in either direction Friday as a result of a water main break in Denville. On the eastbound side, the roadway is closed between Franklin Road and Mount Pleasant Turnpike, and one lane on the westbound side will be closed, local police said.
