Paramus police responded to the campus at 11:40 a.m., to investigate the report, according to Police Chief Robert Guidetti. As officers conducted an initial investigation and secured the area, the campus was temporarily locked down as a precaution.
“At this time, the campus remains active and fully operational,” Guidetti said at 2:40 p.m.. “There is no ongoing threat to students, staff, or the public.”
The investigation is being led by Detective Sgt. Mark Pinajian, according to police. Authorities said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
