Crash Closes Two Lanes On Route 80 In Paterson, Officials Say
A crash on Route 80 in Paterson shut down two lanes during the Thursday morning, Aug. 28, commute, officials said. As of 9:32 a.m., the crash was reported in the eastbound lanes, east of Exit 58, Madison Avenue, according to transportation officials. Two left lanes of the four-lane highway were closed. A $25 million real estate deal will bring more than 400 apartments to a site next to Bergen Town Center in Paramus, officials said. A 66-year-old Hackensack man died in a crash on Route 80 in Bergen County on Friday, Nov. 15, police said. Wayne Duncan was heading west when his Lexus veered off the roadway to the right and struck the guardrail at milepost 61.4 in Elmwood Park around 12:51 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. The vehicle then crossed all lanes and collided with the center concrete barrier. As a result of the crash, Duncan succumbed to his injuries. A 19-year-old driver was killed in an early-morning Route 80 crash when he rear-ended a box truck stopped in the shoulder, authorities said. Cameron Ray, of Flanders, was heading west in a Subrau when he rear-ended the truck near milepost 38.2 in Denville around 5:40 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan said.
